This year the 495th R/C Squadron, Inc. held their annual "Art Alfano Scale Show" on Wednesday April 2nd, 2008 at the Congregational Church in Tewksbury, MA. Approximately 200 members, friends and guests were in attendance for the 19th anniversary of this wonderful event to enjoy what has become one of the most anticipated evenings of the season!. After a long Winter, it was good to get together again with new and old friends alike to enjoy the labors of  the best craftsmen in model aviation

Every year, the 495th R/C Squadron, Inc's own Art Alfano (Life Member 003) hosts this superb invitation only Scale Model Show for the membership of the club, and every year the show is bigger and better than the previous year! This year was certainly no exception as Art once again filled the hall with an amazing assortment of air, land and sea models crafted by the regions premier scale modelers. The Scale Show culminates a full year of planning and organization by Art to ensure the success of the event, and the entire club owes Art an enormous debt of gratitude!! Please make a point to thank Art for his effort and hard work!!

This year, we were fortunate to have Mr. Jack Buckley in attendance at the Scale Show. A consummate scale modeler, Jack is a member of the team that will represent the United States in the FAI Scale Championships in Poland this July. Congratulations and Good Luck! to Jack!!

The Scale Show Raffle, a Spektrum DX-7 2.4 GHZ radio system, was won by Brian Chapman!

A special thanks must also be given to Ralph Dionne for providing the refreshments once again at the Scale Show this year! Please make a point to thank Ralph for his effort and hard work!!
