Summer Fun Fly - June 20, 2009
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

On Saturday June 20th, 2009, the 495th R/C Squadron, Inc. will host a Summer Fun Fly at the Ogonowski Model Flying Field in Tewksbury, MA. This fun fly is open to all current Club members, and promises to be a fun-filled and exciting time for all! The fun fly will be held from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The date for the Summer Fun Fly is coming up fast, so please be sure to put this on your calendar now!!

Merchandise Prizes and Free Food!!!

In addition to the flying activities, we will be serving coffee and donuts at 10:00 AM, and hosting a FREE BBQ lunch for all participants at 12:00 Noon!! Why not come out and join us for some exciting R/C modeling, and a complimentary lunch!

Schedule of Events

Limbo Loops - Take off and fly off the runway. Fly under the limbo and do a loop. Do this sequence (limbo, then loop) as many times as possible until 1 minute from take off. Loops that go under the limbo and then over the limbo can be done to combine the moves together!

Dead Stick Landing - Take off and fly for 1 minute. Throttle goes to idle and you need to land. When the plane stops, the distance to the CD is measured. Closed one wins! If you add throttle at any time, 200ft. is added to the score.

Lunch - A lunch consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda and cookies will be provided free-of-charge to all participants and helpers.

Fast Limbo - Take off and fly off the runway. Fly under the limbo in both directions. Land and taxi under the limbo in both directions. Time starts on takeoff and ends after the second taxi under the limbo.
 

We will be awarding club t-shirts to the top three finishers (one for each event)!!
