Come Celebrate our 50th Anniversary – Cake and Ice Cream will be served!! On Saturday, Sept. 10th, 2022, the 495th R/C Squadron, Inc., a radio controlled model airplane flying club based in Tewksbury, will host their Annual Picnic at the John A. Ogonowski Memorial Flying Field on Pinnacle St. This annual event promises to be a fun-filled and exciting time for all! The Annual Picnic is the primary social event on the club calendar each year, and is intended to introduce the residents of Tewksbury and surrounding towns to the fun and exciting world of model airplanes and helicopters. Flying demonstrations, including airplanes, helicopters and multi-rotor ‘drones’ will be conducted all day by our members, and training aircraft with instructors will be available for the kids to fly! A FREE barbeque lunch consisting of hamburgers and hot dogs will be served to all attendees, and all kids will also receive a FREE Guillows balsa wood glider! The Annual Picnic will be held from 10AM until 4:00PM on Saturday, Sept. 10th, 2022.
